Parents moved us from Canvey Island to Harwich.
Everyone supported Ipswich which only made my defiant allegiance to the Hammers stronger.

Age 5, went to Dartmoor on a camping holiday, used all my sisters film in her camera much to her fury, lost plastic toy boat in the river dart.

Got married to Mrs Iron on our first day back in the second division. Nipped out from the reception at 3:30 to find out how we were doing on the car radio. Four up against Notts County.

I can remember mum taking myself and my sister to see Grease at Norwich Odeon and it was so busy all the smaller kids had to sit on the steps. No health and safety in those days!!
